Went to get a new scope mounted. The gunsmith DID NOT do a function check on the optic and was not able to use the magnification ring. Had to spend 3 hours going back to get it corrected (drive time and time on site) because the gunsmith didn’t do his job correctly. Don’t think I should have had to pay for the new scope rings at all for my second trip out.
The manager only gave me a small discount on new rings I think it should have been free.
I’ll try and call the owners on Monday
I took a CPL renewal class with Mark Lockwood of USCCA yesterday at Williams Gun Site in Davison. First of all, at $50, it's a tremendous value if your CPL renewal is coming up. Secondly, Mark was an exceptional instructor. He is the definition of a true professional. He is a straight shooter (no pun intended) and gets to the point. He made sure to hammer home that less-strong-side shooting is tremendously important to practice on the range and many students took that to heart. He was engaging and just a generally nice and knowledgeable person to be around. I would highly recommend Mark's CPL class and CPL Refresher class to anyone looking.
I've purchased several firearms, parts, and ammo here as well as use their indoor and outdoor shooting range and also attended their class to get my CPL. It's a great company and well managed. The sales associates are very knowledgeable and friendly. I'm always recommending this store to friends. Even if they have to drive extra time to get here it's worth it.
I went there on opening day had my gun worked on. The place is amazing. Definitely worth the travel time. The staff is awesome they're knowledgeable and helpful. I'm going soon. This place is huge it has a indoor range and outdoor as well. It's possibly the largest gun store in Michigan.
Always a pleasant experience when I shop here. Brandon D is my go to for any firearm purchase since he’s very knowledgeable with no matter what question I throw at him. Whether I’m buying something or just need a little info, he is willing to go above and beyond.
If you are looking for a great gun shop, you won't be disappointed. Williams Gun Sight is my favorite gun shop. I've been twice and left with several outstanding new pieces. Cannot say enough about the staff: I've had the pleasure of working with Travis on both of my visits. He's incredibly knowledgeable and super patient. I never get the hard sell from him.
On my most recent visit I came in with no agenda and Travis walked me through some 1911 options and AR10 option before we got into long range precision shooting. Wouldn't ya know it, turns out I was in desperate need of a 338 Lapua 😁.
I hope the management knows what an incredible asset they have in Travis. He's the reason I drove all the way from Battle Creek to browse their store.
Awesome selection of handgun, shotguns, and rifles. Majority of staff is helpful and friendly. Shooting rage is generally kept pretty clean along with the bathrooms. Prices for everything aren’t the lowest but I’ve seen higher at other places.
I’m so over this place always treated with disrespect when I come or how I just called to ask a simple question if the outdoor range has lights since it gets dark around 5:30 now and they close at 6 reasonable question right? And it seems to be the same blonde haired older lady at the front desk. Then I ask about the indoor range more disrespect I’m sorry but I’ve been here like 4 times and I’m new to the sport every one starts somewhere right? And I couldn’t even ask my last question before she hung up. Is the outdoor range handicap accessible? I remember walking down steps to get their.
